Motel is now the oldest standing hotel in Bourke.

The Bourke Riverside Motel is a composite of
Bourke's earliest buildings,theTelegraphHotel(1873)
The Australian Joint Bank (1874 ) and Bourke's first
Post office and Telegraph station .The Hotel and its
beautiful dinning room were designed by the famous
colonial architect John Horbury-Hunt ( 1883-1904 )
Superbly restored and refurbished in every respect,
the Bourke Riverside Motel now offers 14 superb
suites which are all minimum 4 star ( AAA rated )
making it one of, if not the best accommodation
houses in Outback NSW.
A real oasis and home for over 500 roses,with many
beautiful flowering trees and shrubs the gardens at
the motel have won numerous awards including
Grand champion District Garden in 2003,2005.2006
and 2007.also most successful exhibitor at both rose
& flower shows within the district.
The hotel has been trading successfully for 135yrs ,
the present owners over the past 9 yrs have built up
a tremendous repeat clientèle of both professional
and tourist trade .Currently trading at just over 90%
occupancy, the motel has an outstanding yearly
occupancy figures of over 80% Which relates to
being 100% full every second day!
