Bed & Breakfast Accommodation is available in the homestead building which is furnished with quality antiques. Guests have a private bathroom and kitchenette facilities.

There is one cottage available for farmstays. It is an original homestead cottage which is fully self contained. It is decorated in a casual country style. Cottage guests to supply their own linen and breakfast or they can be provided at an extra charge.

Yellow Cottage (c1900)

Yellow cottage has queen bed and a cot, double bed room and twin bedroom plus two small beds in the sunroom so sleeps 6 plus children.

Solar powered, full kitchen, dining, lounge, slow combustion wood fire, large sun verandah, bathroom and laundry.

Bedervale Homestead was designed by Architect John Verge who also designed Camden Park at Menangle and Elizabeth Bay House at Sydney. It was built for Captain John Coghill in 1836 on a land grant he selected in 1826 at Braidwood.

For over 130 years the house was inhabited by the one family and the contents of the house that they accumulated during this time are still in situ, which is something of a rarity. As a collection, they reflect the changing tastes and social habits from Victorian through to Edwardian times and for this reason, the house and collections are unique.

Bedervale is one of the finest colonial homesteads in the state with an interesting collection of outbuildings. Within the homestead are rooms fitted with classically-detailed cedar joinery and a fine collection of furniture, general household utensils and books.

Bedervale is a working grazing property in a scenic location with views to the town of Braidwood, Mount Jillamatong and the coastal range.

Bedervale is a private property with inspections only by appointment.
