Step back in time in this original early 1840's Inn. World-renowned Eden bed and breakfast. where you can see the sunrise and sunset over the sea. Watch the whales from the verandah during October-November. Central to Eden and wonderfully quiet, walk to restaurants, beaches, and the wharf. Half Way between Melbourne and Sydney, on the NSW south coast.

Historic colonial whaling inn in fully restored condition located above the famous Eden wharves and only a short stroll to the CBD and wharf restaurants.
 

 

Commands sea views from every room.

  • All five guest bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms
  • The main guest lounge room opens onto a verandah and features open fires and ocean views.
  • Bedrooms upstairs have an open verandah
  • Fully glassed in lounge/dining area with its own huge deck downstairs
  • There are 5 guest car parking spaces, 3 of which are under cover

The property was built as a small hotel in the early 1840's and was first licensed in 1845. It was the first substantial building in Eden, preceded only by slab and bark huts.

As such, it commands spectacular views of Twofold Bay and the ocean as well as a very central and quiet location within five minutes walking distance of restaurants, hotels, the Fishermen's Club, the wharf, the beach, even our favourite snorkelling spot.

Each room has a view of the sea, ensuite bathroom, luxurious bedding, antique furnishing and some feature open fire places.

In fact, the whole building is very original and offers an unforgettable and unique experience steeped in early Australian character and the charm of long gone whalers and seafaring days.
