National Trust Corporate Breakfasts

Monica Barone

Monica Barone Corporate Breakfast -Tuesday 5 June 2007

The second breakfast in our twelfth year of the Corporate Breakfast series featured special guest speaker Monica Barone, CEO of the City of Sydney.

Monica spoke at the Tearoom, Queen Victoria Building, on “Creating the Sydney of the Future: How People Can Change Cities – Sydney 2030”. Sydney is growing into a major city, with an expanding population and workforce, as well as an escalating tourism industry. With these positive changes occurring over the next 20 years, it is important that City of Sydney have a vision and a plan in place for the nature of how the city will expand, and how issues such as public transport, architecture and sustainable resources are going to be managed. Monica’s talk intrigued and engrossed our audience, and we were delighted to have the in depth and insider perspective that Monica was able to offer on these important and highly relevant issues.
