National Trust Heritage Festival 2007
75 Years of the Harbour Bridge by Robert Billington
Winner of the 1994 Australian Photographer of the Year, Robert
Billington has personally selected this exhibition from his many
photos of Sydney’s most famous icon, the Harbour Bridge. In
conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of the Harbour Bridge,
these photos celebrate the context of the Bridge in Sydney. Seen
from many points of view, Robert also shows the people who
cross the Bridge, the many parks and buildings that have it as
their background, and how it has become an integral part of life
in Sydney. Illustrating the Festival theme of Places in Context,
Robert shows the Bridge as part of Sydney’s cultural landscape,
and these beautiful photos bring to life why the Bridge is so
important to Australians.
All exhibited photos are for sale.
