Individual Award Nominations

Lifetime Achievement Award:
This award is presented to an individual, group or organisation whose body of work has furthered heritage conservation over a period of 20 years or more.

Sustained effort is required to achieve changes in public and political attitudes towards heritage conservation and in professional, corporate or government policies affecting built, cultural and natural heritage. The award recognises people who have been the drivers of these changes.

Cathy Donnelly Memorial Award:
This award is presented to an individual female professional (architect, engineer, conservator, etc.) for an outstanding contribution to the conservation of our built and natural heritage. The work may include capital works and repair as well as landscape and adaptive re-use projects.

This Award was created in recognition of the outstanding work of the late Cathy Donnelly and honours the dedication of this talented heritage architect. Her architectural contribution ranged from overseeing the work on a number of significant conservation works in The Rocks under the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, through to her smaller scale domestic work on a number of heritage properties around Sydney.

Trade / Skills Award – trades person/group of the year:
This award is presented to a trades person or group demonstrating substantial achievement in conservation work on our built and natural heritage. The award recognises the practical skills required to carry out work specified by heritage architects, and acknowledges the training, experience and judgment required to achieve excellent results in this demanding line of work.

Awards will initially be made to a trades person or group with a minimum 10 years’ experience working on the conservation of built or natural heritage.
