National Trust Heritage Festival

Amazing Stories: Innovation & Invention
14 – 29 April 2012

Be a part of the 2012 National Trust Heritage Festival:

The National Trust invites you to celebrate Australia’s built, cultural and natural heritage and to be part of one of the largest and longest running community festivals in the State. In what will be the 32nd year of the National Trust Heritage Festival, we hope to see another year of fantastic community-hosted events held across metropolitan and regional NSW from Saturday 14 April to Sunday 29 April 2012 with National Trust Day falling on Sunday 29 April.

This year, it was decided to take the Heritage Festival to a national level and bring all states together under key national elements including the Heritage Festival theme and design concepts.

By registering your event with the National Trust Heritage Festival, you ensure that you are a part of this dynamic and exciting Australia-wide celebration of Australia’s built, cultural and natural heritage.

Getting involved in 2012!

When you register your event with the National Trust Heritage Festival, your activity and organisation will be promoted free of charge via the Trust website and in the Heritage Festival Program. 35,000 programs will be distributed to National Trust members, National Trust properties, event organisers and the general public through motor vehicle registries, councils, libraries, visitor information offices, and cultural organisations. Suggestions for events include, but are not limited to:

  1. Talks/lectures
  2. Exhibitions and historical displays
  3. Photographic exhibitions
  4. Tours
  5. Educational competitions
  6. Music recitals/concerts
  7. Open Days
  8. Cruise’s

Supported by an extensive public relations campaign, the program of events plays a key role in fostering an appreciation of our heritage, our cultural identity and our conservation of these, for the future.
