S.H. Ervin Gallery’s The Year in Art is establishing a reputation as one of the ‘must see’ annual Sydney exhibitions. Now in its sixth year, The Year in Art presents a unique opportunity to revisit highlights and innovations from the Sydney arts scene presented for public viewing during the year.

Once again, we have visited countless commercial galleries to bring together a visually dynamic group exhibition. This is an ideal way to learn more about the artists & their work and it provides the opportunity to engage with issues and themes related to contemporary art practice.

2007 The Year in Art presents work by: Susan Andrews, Sydney Ball, Isidro Blasco, G.W. Bot, Jane Burton, Cressida Campbell, Brett East, eX de Medici, Cherine Fahd, David Fairbairn, Chris Firmstone, Juan Ford, Dale Frank, Newell Harry, Janet Laurence, Alasdair Macintyre, Jess MacNeil, Hilarie Mais, Galuma Maymuru, John Mawrundjal, Tracey Moffatt, Chris O’Dohertry aka Reg Mombassa, Seline Ou, John Peart, James Powditch, Ambrose Reisch, Lynne Roberts-Goodwin, Joan Ross, Caroline Rothwell, Huseyin Sami, Neal Smith, Sherna Teperson, Aida Tomescu, Shonah Trescott, Stephanie Valentin, Guy Warren, Dick Watkins & Richard Woldendorp.

This exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to discover the work of emerging and established artists as we re-visit Sydney’s year in art.
