Volunteers and Committees

The National Trust is the leading independent, not-for-profit, non-government, community based organisation working to conserve our built, natural and cultural heritage and we want YOU to be a part of our team.

The Trust relies on the work of volunteers and is in regular need of committed volunteers. Extend your experience, learn new skills, enrich your live and add the Trust as a prestigious organisation to your CV. A regular commitment of at least one day per fortnight is generally required.

Volunteers support staff by generously giving their time, skills and experience. You will also meet like minded people and expand your circle of friends, learn from others and gain new skills and gain a personal sense of achievement

Volunteer for the National Trust

There are two ways you can become a volunteer at the Trust.

  • Become a member of the Trust and join a Committee. The role of Committee volunteers is to provide ongoing support and fundraising to museums and properties. There are four types of Committees that are located in three regional areas across New South Wales:

    - Branch Committee
    - Fundraising Committee
    - Management Committee
    - Advisory Schedule
